Just by chance I encountered this Murder by Numbers comic.  It’s particularly funny because at dinner the other night one of my boys asked basically the same thing.  Now that we had healthcare, what radical idea was next?  The Metric system?

We joked that should legislation be introduced now to move us metric, we’re pretty sure it would be seen by the Tea Party Fox-publicans as a fascist communist plot to deprive us of our God-given right to measure things as our founding fathers intended—in inches.  If the Lord had intended us to use a base 10 system, he’d have given us 10 fingers or 10 toes, or… wait… what were we talking about?
