It’s well known that on average women outlive men, but I’ll bet you never knew why. It turns out that women spend on average about one year of their lives picking out what to wear. By way of comparison, most men spend a cumulative lifetime total of 37.6 minutes on that task. This is evidenced by the way we dress.
Factor in another year for hair and make-up and at least another 6 months shopping for the perfect pair of shoes, and it seems that men and women probably do have about the same life expectancy once you make the maintenance allowances.
