There’s a lot of country music in my house, and I’ve mentioned before that my youngest seems to have a disquieting affinity for drinking songs. So it wasn’t surprising that he really wanted to see the video for Neal McCoy’s latest, “Billy’s Got His Beer Goggles On.” However, once the video started, his first reaction was, “Hey, he’s not wearing goggles. Where are the beer goggles?”<\/p>\n
At that point, I’d have given anything for a snapshot of the mental expectation he had of what beer goggles actually were. But that aside, I was still faced with the prospect of explaining “beer goggles” to a 10-year old. But I gave it a whirl, although he looked a little disappointed at the reality.<\/p>\n
I am a little scared though as Joe Nichols just released, “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off”, and I’m not really looking forward to explaining that one. Maybe we should start listening to rap. At least the lyrics are unintelligible.<\/p>\n
