{"id":388,"date":"2005-03-26T16:59:00","date_gmt":"2005-03-26T21:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nicholsclan.com\/tinblog\/2005\/03\/erring-on-the-side-of-life.html"},"modified":"2005-03-26T16:59:00","modified_gmt":"2005-03-26T21:59:00","slug":"erring-on-side-of-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timscogitorium.com\/tinblog\/2005\/03\/erring-on-side-of-life.html","title":{"rendered":"Erring on the Side of Life?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Apparently, on the same weekend that Bush flew back to Washington to stick his nose into the Schiavo family&#8217;s business and attempt to run rough-shod over the judiciary branch of government which had the audacity to do something he didn&#8217;t like, he also <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timesargus.com\/apps\/pbcs.dll\/article?AID=\/20050318\/NEWS\/503180384\/1016\/FEATURES07\">zeroed out the funding for the Federal TBI Act<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s the TBI act?  Just a small fund which provided for victims of traumatic brain injury.  Over 60% of the wounded soldiers returning from Iraq suffer from TBI.  But no money for them.  After all, why pay for therapy for people who might actually recover to some or all of their previous quality of life?
