Woot!<\/p>\n<p>Ummm&#8230; cool, in a way, but surprising in a nation whose students are shunning high tech careers and whose populace prefer their scientists as action heroes. (I&#8217;m looking at\u00a0 you Indiana Jones.)\u00a0 It does seem though that nerds are somewhat responsible. Reddit (a programming playground) ran a <a title=\"Reddit Barbie Vote\" href=\"http:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/programming\/comments\/aobsa\/vote_for_barbie_to_be_a_computer_engineer\/\" target=\"_self\">Vote for Barbie campaign<\/a>. So Mattel may have been pwned a bit here.
