In the tech world, “augmented reality” refers to enhancing the real world by adding additional artificially produced information. So it seems to me that description also pretty much describes Sarah Palin’s world view. The Queen of Psycho-Babble has offered her view of healthcare reform on her Facebook page<\/a>. Key quote:<\/p>\n

The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama\u2019s \u201cdeath panel\u201d so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their \u201clevel of productivity in society,\u201d whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Okay, I’m used to the good vs. evil rhetoric by now. But the miscasting of the reform proposal to include an Orwellian “death panel” making life or death decisions based on your worth to society is bordering on comic farce. It could be an SNL<\/a> skit. Except she doesn’t think she’s being funny. And neither do the 5800+ people who “like” this post. And neither do countless thousands of others who sup at the table of lunacy being set by Sarah and her ilk. <\/p>\n

It rather seems that bald-faced lying with intent to alter or influence people who aren’t smart enough to know the difference should be a crime, don’t you think?<\/p>\n
